About The Role

We are seeking a motivated, career-oriented Data Engineer to join MANTECH’s dynamic team in Doral, FL. This role is integral to our data management and analytics initiatives, supporting the development and maintenance of scalable data architectures that enable our clients to derive actionable insights from vast and complex datasets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building data pipelines, managing data warehouses, and working with cloud-based data platforms. As a Data Engineer at MANTECH, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and technical specialists to ensure data interoperability, quality, and security. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing our data processing capabilities, improving system reliability, and supporting strategic decision-making processes across mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience aligned with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a master’s degree with 1+ years of experience, an associate’s degree with 5+ years, or a high school diploma with 7+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and relational databases.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), database engineering, and workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar.
• Ability to create, maintain, and communicate complex technical documentation and data architecture diagrams effectively.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and processing systems to support enterprise data needs.
• Developing and optimizing automated ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from diverse sources.
• Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and technical teams to establish data interoperability standards and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Conducting performance tuning, data validation, and troubleshooting to resolve issues within complex database environments.
• Maintaining data baselines, configuration management controls, and comprehensive technical documentation for all data systems.
• Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance system reliability, data quality, and scalability, aligning with organizational goals.
