Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Data Coordinator to join Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Antibiotic Management Program (AMP), a longstanding initiative focused on optimizing antibiotic use and improving patient outcomes.

The AMP team collaborates closely with Infectious Disease physicians, clinical pharmacists, and care teams across MSK. In this role, you will manage and analyze data that supports clinical quality improvement and informs evidence-based treatment decisions.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data and clinical care, contributing to high-impact initiatives at a world-leading cancer center.

Role Overview

  • Collect, abstract, and enter data for quality improvement initiatives, including a detailed review of patient charts and internal databases
  • Use Microsoft Excel functions (e.g., formulas, data validation) to manage, clean, and analyze datasets
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems
  • Partner with clinicians, pharmacists, and cross-functional teams to support data collection and reporting needs
  • Generate reports and summarize findings for the team, including building Excel-based reports and trackers
  • Maintain compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including completion of required documentation
  • Support updates and maintenance of the program website

Key Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting (e.g., managing large datasets, creating tables, tracking metrics)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Experience working with databases or data tracking systems; ability to quickly learn platforms such as Epic (or similar EHR systems)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, equipped to handle multiple data workflows and timelines
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment and take ownership of new processes

  • An analytical approach that identifies trends and translates data into actionable insights
  • Good sense of accountability with consistent follow-through on projects and reporting
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to both clinical and non-clinical audiences
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to recognize gaps, investigate issues, and support process improvements
  • Interest in healthcare, quality improvement, and working with clinical or operational data

Additional Information

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, fully onsite 5 days/week during the first 6 months. Hybrid schedule after 6 months, 3 days/week onsite.
  • Location: MSK Main Campus 1275 York Avenue
  • Reporting to the Manager

Pay Range: $24.05 - $36.21
