Role Overview:

  • The Data Contributions Manager will own the strategy, sourcing, and ongoing management of the data that powers Intentsify's 5x5 product and identity graph. This role pairs strategic data acquisition with hands-on operational ownership: understanding 5x5's products and identity graph deeply enough to see where additional data, coverage, or signals would materially improve the offering, then finding, evaluating, and securing the sources to close those gaps.
  • A core part of the role is proactively hunting for unique and non-obvious sources of data, including the data exhaust generated by platforms and businesses that don't think of themselves as data providers. The Data Contributions Manager assesses the value of these sources and negotiates access through data swaps, partnerships, or commercial agreements, then manages the intake, evaluation, and quality of that data on an ongoing basis.
  • This is a highly cross-functional and customer-facing role. The ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator and relationship-builder who is comfortable on customer and partner calls, can translate complex data concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences, and represents 5x5 in a way that makes contributors and customers want to keep working with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Acquisition
  • Develop a deep understanding of 5x5's products and identity graph, and use it to identify where additional data, coverage, or signals would materially improve the offering.
  • Own the data acquisition strategy, prioritizing the sources, coverage, and signals that will have the greatest impact on 5x5's value to customers.
  • Translate product and customer needs into a clear, prioritized plan for what data to acquire and why.
  • Continuously assess competitive data offerings and market trends to inform sourcing priorities and differentiation.
  • Sourcing & Partnerships
  • Proactively identify unique and non-traditional sources of data, including the data exhaust generated by platforms and businesses that don't consider themselves data providers.
  • Assess the value, quality, and fit of potential sources against 5x5's needs.
  • Negotiate access to new data through data swaps, partnerships, or commercial (monetary) agreements.
  • Build and maintain functioning, productive relationships with contributors and partners, serving as their primary point of contact over time.
  • Data Pipeline, Evaluation & Quality
  • Manage the pipeline of incoming data from contributors and partners, from intake through onboarding and integration.
  • Own the evaluation process for incoming data, assessing sources and feeds for accuracy, coverage, freshness, fit, and compliance before they go live.
  • Monitor the ongoing health, coverage, and freshness of contributed and proprietary data, and act quickly on gaps, drops, or quality issues.
  • Partner with Data and Engineering to keep ingestion, enrichment, and signal-processing scalable, reliable, and compliant, and ensure data is well-documented and easy to consume.
  • Cross-Functional & Customer-Facing Collaboration
  • Work closely and communicate effectively across Sales, Product, Data, Engineering, executives, contributors, and customers.
  • Translate complex data concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer and partner calls — asking the right questions, explaining our data clearly and concisely, and representing 5x5 in a way that makes people want to keep working with us.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for 5x5's data supply and contributions.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on data, data platforms, or data-driven products.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with complex datasets, data pipelines, metrics, and experimentation.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and data science teams.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, compelling products and experiences.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), identity resolution, or data partnerships and data co-ops is a plus.
  • Experience in martech, adtech, intent data, or B2B data and analytics is a strong plus.
