- Position Overview
- Primary responsibilities of the DC Project Manager will include planning, executing, and delivering data center related projects, including new builds, expansions, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning. This role coordinates cross functional teams including facilities, network, external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards. This is an in person role and may need some travel within DFW areas.
- Responsibilities
- Lead end to end delivery of data center projects including development of project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and manage project schedules (design, procurement construction, installation, commissioning and decommissioning).
- Create Project budgets, cost forecasts, overall financial planning and reporting.
- Act as point of contact for stakeholder and cross functional coordination including facilities, infrastructure teams and external vendors.
- Ensure safety, compliance and regulatory standards are maintained throughout the delivery of projects.
- Support capacity planning and long-term data center strategy initiatives.
- Should be able to travel to various locations as needed for project needs.
- Qualifications
- 5 + years of project management experience in data center or infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of center infrastructure (power, cooling, racks, cabling, networking).
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects.
- Prior Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) implementation experience.
- Work efficiently and independently - applying analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills to support day-to-day operations and project work.
- Ability to travel to other facilities is required.
- Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence, Project, and Visio.
- Ability to align project tasks and technical solution with the Business Requirements.
- Proactive and can work independently.
- Must be able to multi-task effectively.
- Great organizational and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills.
