  • Establish and promote standards, principles, patterns, and best practices for data architecture, modeling, governance, and integration.

  • Evaluate and recommend approaches for data integration, reporting, analytics, information management, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of enterprise data architecture, governance, metadata management, and master data practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in data architecture, with demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise data initiatives.
  • Proven experience defining current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures and developing data modernization roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, medallion architecture, and analytics capabilities.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based data modernization and contemporary enterprise data platforms.
  • Advanced expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
  • Strong experience designing data integration, transformation processes, and end-to-end data flows.
  • Experience with architecture and data modeling tools, preferably Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience with business architecture or enterprise architecture in complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and master data management.
  • Experience with Power BI and enterprise analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF or another recognized enterprise architecture framework.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, combined with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and work effectively across multiple initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and guide data transformation across projects, departments, and divisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver practical architectural solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Benefits

  • 6-month contract initially, with potential continuation at the client's discretion.
  • Remote working arrangement.
  • 8 billable working hours per day.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative.
