- Role:Data Center Network Engineer
- location:Alpharetta, GA
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot highly available Layer 2 and Layer 3 data center networks.
- Design and implement underlay and overlay networking using technologies such as MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- Configure and optimize dynamic routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Develop and manage complex BGP routing policies and route manipulation.
- Support multi-tenant and multi-data-center network environments.
- Implement and maintain Software Defined Networking (SDN), SD-WAN, NFV, and cloud provider peering solutions.
- Automate network and security provisioning, configuration, and operational processes.
- Develop network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Netmiko, Netconf, NAPALM, Jinja, YAML, JSON, and APIs.
- Support Internet peering, public IP management, and DDoS protection services.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues across all layers of the OSI model.
- Implement and troubleshoot protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, VLANs, MPLS, IPsec, DMVPN, VRF, VXLAN, EVPN, VRRP, MLAG, VPC, STP, Anycast, SSL, and TLS.
- Follow industry-standard networking and security best practices.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, management, business partners, and other stakeholders to develop scalable network solutions.
- Ensure network solutions align with applicable PCI/DSS controls and security requirements.
- Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience in network engineering and data center networking.
- Hands-on experience with VXLAN and EVPN.
- Strong expertise with BGP and OSPF, including complex routing policies.
- Experience with MPLS, VRF, VLAN, IPsec, DMVPN, MLAG/VPC, and STP.
- Experience working with multi-tenant and multi-data-center environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS and/or Arista EOS.
- Strong network troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Experience with network automation and scripting.
- Proficiency with Python and Ansible.
- Experience with tools/technologies such as Netmiko, Netconf, NAPALM, Jinja, YAML, JSON, and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of network and security best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent documentation, organization, and time-management skills.
- Understanding of PCI/DSS controls and security practices.
