Role: Data Center Inventory Technician

Duration: 18 month contract with the potential to convert fulltime

Location: Onsite in either Irving, TX or Red Oak, TX

Shifts: A shift (Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday) or B shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • -2 years experience in a related field (inventory, logistics, warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment
  • -1+ years of experience working in an enterprise data center
  • -Good verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • -Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time

  • Insight Global is seeking a talented and dedicated Data Center Inventory Support technician to work for one of our largest technology clients in Irving, TX. This is an exciting role for those looking to gain fundamental experience within the IT world. We are seeking candidates to perform assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations. Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision. Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities). Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity. Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process. Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks Required: High School Diploma AND 2+ years experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Required: Previous experience working in a data center environment. If required, Team Manager of 5-10 supplier resources This client will be providing training to ensure employees are comfortable and confident on the job.
