  • Rate: $40 – $50/hr DOE

Join the Data Center team supporting data center environments across the Fort Worth and Carrollton, TX area. This hands-on role focuses on physical data center infrastructure, DCIM tooling, server hardware, cabling, power, cooling, and network connectivity. This is a 100% onsite contract position requiring a local candidate who can travel between multiple data center locations, primarily SV7 in Fort Worth and Carrollton, with occasional work at BRCC.

This is an opportunity for an infrastructure-focused engineer who enjoys being hands-on and working in a fast-moving data center environment. You’ll work with an informal, collaborative team where priorities and workloads are dynamic, giving you exposure to everything from rack-and-stack and cabling to DCIM, power and cooling monitoring, hardware troubleshooting, and infrastructure rollouts. The role offers the chance to strengthen your data center expertise while working across multiple environments, technologies, and operational challenges.

  • Required Skills & Experience
  • · Strong hands-on physical data center infrastructure experience
  • · Experience with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools
  • · Strong data center cabling experience, including fiber and copper
  • · Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT experience supporting and resolving diverse data center issues
  • · Experience with server installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, including platforms such as Dell, HPE, and Cisco UCS
  • · Experience performing rack-and-stack procedures
  • · Knowledge of cabling and labeling standards
  • · Experience monitoring data center space, power, and cooling thresholds
  • · Experience supporting network, storage, and server environments
  • · Understanding of UPS, PDUs, and CRAC units
  • · Disciplined change-management and infrastructure rollout experience
  • · Strong troubleshooting and incident-response skills
  • · Collaborative team mindset with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • · Must be local to the Fort Worth/Carrollton, TX area and able to work 100% onsite
  • · Must be willing to travel between multiple data center locations, including SV7, Carrollton, and occasionally BRCC
  • · Must be willing to work varying shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Desired Skills & Experience
  • UPS and PDU experience
  • Experience with Sunbird DCIM tooling
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of experience working with external vendors, negotiating services, and monitoring service delivery
  • Airline industry experience, including familiarity with airline business processes and supporting technology

  • Daily Responsibilities
  • Monitor servers, network infrastructure, power, and cooling systems using DCIM tools; perform rack-and-stack, cable management, hardware replacements, server installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Maintain data center elevations using Sunbird DCIM, monitor space/power/cooling thresholds, support change-management processes, and coordinate with third-party vendors for RMAs, installations, and support
  • Coordinate with network and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues and support application or infrastructure rollouts requiring data center changes
