Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern data architecture, cloud-native data engineering, and analytics solutions leveraging technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark, Unity Catalog, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions.

• About the Role
• This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, solution architects, and application teams to establish scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems that enable advanced analytics and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Architect and deliver end-to-end data solutions across Azure, AWS and GCP environments.
• Define data models, integration patterns, and data governance standards for structured and unstructured datasets.
• Lead the design of scalable lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and optimize batch and near real-time data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, and cloud-native services.
• Establish and enforce data governance, security, and metadata management practices utilizing Unity Catalog.
• Define standards for data quality, lineage, access control, and compliance.
• Optimize data processing workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD practices for data solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.
• Able to lead C-level and executive conversations and present technical thought leadership.
• Able to lead data strategy conversation and own overall architecture of solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing cloud-based data platforms.
• Proven experience designing enterprise data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse solutions.
• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Spark SQL.
• Experience implementing data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Warehouse capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery architecture, optimization, and administration.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks using Unity Catalog.
• Experience developing serverless solutions using GCP Cloud Functions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

• Required Skills
• Experience with Delta Lake and Medallion architecture patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience in multi-cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
