Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to provide hands-on technical leadership for a reporting transformation initiative involving Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake.
The architect will assess the current data and reporting environment, identify dependencies, define the target-state architecture, and develop a Proof of Concept (POC) using representative high-value reports.
The successful candidate will establish a repeatable technical framework that can be scaled across the broader reporting landscape while minimizing disruption to critical reporting and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and technical design for reporting/data transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement Snowflake-based data architectures, including data models, ELT pipelines, security, performance, and report-ready data structures.
- Analyze Salesforce data models, extraction methods, integrations, and reporting dependencies.
- Understand ServiceNow data and integration concepts and support the Salesforce-to-ServiceNow reporting transformation.
- Develop POCs using representative business-critical reports.
- Create scalable and repeatable migration/reference architecture frameworks.
- Define data mapping, reconciliation, migration, and integration approaches.
- Work with APIs, CDC, ETL/ELT pipelines, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Assess data quality, lineage, reporting dependencies, and downstream impacts.
- Ensure business continuity for critical reporting and billing processes during migration.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Reporting Analysts, client SMEs, and Technical SMEs.
- Communicate architecture decisions, risks, and technical trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership while working independently in an evolving environment.
Required Technical Skills
Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics Architecture, or Enterprise Data Transformation.
- Strong hands-on Snowflake architecture and data engineering experience.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Strong experience with data modelling and ELT/ETL.
- Experience with Snowflake security and performance optimization.
- Experience building report-ready data structures.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data models and extraction/integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow data and integration concepts.
- Experience with enterprise data integration and migration.
- Experience with APIs and/or CDC.
- Experience with data mapping, reconciliation, and migration patterns.
- Experience designing POCs, reference architectures, and scalable migration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of reporting-oriented data architecture, data quality, lineage, and dependencies.
Preferred Experience
- Salesforce-to-ServiceNow reporting or data transformation experience.
- Large-scale legacy-to-modern platform migration.
- Enterprise reporting transformation.
- Snowflake modernization initiatives.
- Experience working with critical downstream reporting or billing systems.
- Experience establishing reusable architecture patterns/frameworks.
