Data Architect

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a senior Data (DaaP) Architect to lead the design and evolution of a complex, enterprise-scale data ecosystem supporting global supply chain operations. This individual will operate as a builder–architect hybrid, defining data architecture standards while also hands-on with engineering, including building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and event-driven integrations in an SAP/Azure Cloud environment. The role requires deep experience working within large, fragmented data environments and the ability to align data solutions to diverse operating models across regions. The architect will play a critical leadership role, establishing scalable, “data as a product” frameworks that enable self-service analytics, governance, and high-quality data delivery across the enterprise. Strong expertise in SAP (S/4HANA and ECC), event-driven vs. API-based integration patterns, and cloud-based data platforms is essential. This position offers the opportunity to shape a long-term data strategy and influence the buildout of a broader data organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• - SAP Expertise (S/4HANA & ECC)
• - Strong experience with event-driven architecture (ETL/ELT, Python, & SQL required)
• - Strong experience with Azure data ecosystems (Azure Data Grid & Azure Fabric)
• - International enterprise-level company/industry experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• - Pharmaceutical industry experience
• - TOGAF Practitioner and/or DaaP certification.

Compensation:

$70/hr to $105/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
