  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms and lakehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Snowflake on AWS, modern data architecture principles, and large-scale data transformation initiatives. This role will partner with business and technology teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performing data solutions that support strategic business objectives.
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using Snowflake on AWS.
  • Lead enterprise data architecture initiatives and large-scale data transformation programs.
  • Design and orchestrate data acquisition and ingestion pipelines using AWS Glue, Snowflake Openflow, and Apache Airflow.
  • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT frameworks to support ingestion from diverse data sources.
  • Establish Snowflake as an enterprise data capability by implementing best practices, governance standards, and reusable architecture patterns.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data transformation frameworks using dbt to ensure modular, testable, version-controlled transformation logic.
  • Build and implement lakehouse architectures utilizing Medallion design principles to support analytical and operational workloads.
  • Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through workload management, query optimization, and resource tuning.
  • Lead and support migration initiatives from legacy platforms, including Cloudera, to Snowflake-based architectures.
  • Evaluate and recommend data technologies, governance platforms, and security solutions aligned with enterprise requirements.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational processes.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and reliability across data pipelines and platforms.
  • Document architecture decisions, data flows, transformation logic, standards, and operational procedures to promote maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineering teams, and governance functions, to deliver enterprise data solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7–11 years of experience in data architecture and data engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Proven expertise architecting and implementing Snowflake solutions on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Snowflake
  • AWS Glue
  • Apache Airflow
  • dbt
  • SQL
  • Data modeling
  • ETL/ELT methodologies
  • Experience implementing enterprise lakehouse solutions using Medallion Architecture principles.
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data retention, and modern cloud-based development practices.
  • Experience optimizing Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost management.
  • Experience leading migrations from legacy data platforms such as Cloudera to Snowflake.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with data mesh principles, data products, and modern data warehousing paradigms.
  • Experience designing Streamlit applications and developing data products leveraging Snowflake ML and MLOps capabilities.
  • SnowPro Advanced Certification.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or Java.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks, including Collibra and Informatica.
  • Experience with policy data conversion from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Exposure to enterprise data warehouse technologies such as Cloudera, AWS Redshift, Informatica IDMC, PowerCenter, and BDM.
