Misericordia is a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides long-term residential care, education, employment, and community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Serving more than 650 residents, Misericordia offers a full continuum of individualized services within a vibrant, inclusive community.

  • The Role
  • The Development Data Analyst plays a critical role in advancing Misericordia Foundation’s fundraising success by managing, analyzing, and translating donor and fundraising data into actionable insights. This position supports gift officers, development leadership, and communications by ensuring data integrity, producing timely reports and dashboards, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across fundraising programs.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data Management & Integrity
  • Serve as the Foundation’s expert in our CRM.
  • Partnering with our gift processing team, ensure accurate and complete donor, gift, and prospect data within the Foundation’s CRM.
  • Enforce data standards, naming conventions, and coding practices.
  • Partnering with the IT team, conduct routine data audits to ensure data quality.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Produce regular and ad‑hoc fundraising reports, dashboards, and performance metrics (e.g., revenue, pipeline, donor retention, LYBUNT/SYBUNT).
  • Analyze fundraising trends, donor behavior, and campaign performance.
  • Support forecasting, goal tracking, and board and leadership reporting.
  • Track fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events from setup through closeout.
  • Monitor campaign progress against goals and timelines.
  • Provide post‑campaign analysis and recommendations.
  • Prospect & Portfolio Support
  • Assist with prospect identification, segmentation, and scoring.
  • Support fundraisers with portfolio analysis and data insights.
  • Prepare donor lists, mailing extracts, and campaign tracking reports.
  • Systems & Process Improvement
  • Partner with operations team to improve data workflows, reporting processes, and system functionality
  • Support CRM enhancements, integrations, and data imports.
  • Document processes and create reporting guides for staff.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely across teams to align data with fundraising strategy.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, accessible insights for non‑technical audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, information systems, business, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or development operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and related tools.
  • Experience as administrator of a CRM (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce).
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Preferred:
  • Blackbaud Certified in Raiser’s Edge (bCRE).
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or major gifts programs.
  • Proficiency with advanced reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with fundraising metrics, donor lifecycle analysis, and prospect research concepts.
  • Experience working in a mission‑driven or nonprofit organization.

Pay:

  • $75,000 - $85,000
