About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst, Marketing to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will own the reporting infrastructure that supports decision-making across our Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace verticals. Your responsibilities will include partnering closely with cross-functional teams such as Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management to uncover meaningful insights, conduct retrospective analyses, and challenge existing assumptions with data-driven evidence. This role is not just about building dashboards; it is about ensuring that the insights generated are actionable, understood, and integrated into strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, curious, and deeply invested in understanding the nuances of performance marketing to help the company optimize its campaigns and revenue streams effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing.
  • Expertise in SQL and proficiency in handling unstructured, complex data sources.
  • Strong reporting ownership skills, with the ability to standardize and drive adoption of dashboards and reports.
  • Advanced experience with LookML development or equivalent tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Deep business understanding, especially related to marketing performance metrics, campaign analysis, and revenue drivers.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, analyze messy data, and connect findings to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated proactive ownership and collaboration skills, with a focus on building trust with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the reporting infrastructure that supports decision-making across multiple verticals.
  • Partner with business teams to understand their needs, challenges, and key performance levers.
  • Audit existing reports and dashboards to identify discrepancies, redundancies, and areas for standardization.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap for standardized, trusted data sources and reports.
  • Architect complex models using LookML or equivalent tools, understanding downstream impacts and ensuring data integrity.
  • Conduct retrospective analyses across campaigns, creatives, offers, seasonality, and CAC performance to uncover actionable insights.
  • Engage with stakeholders regularly to educate, inform, and enhance data literacy within teams.
  • Proactively identify potential issues or opportunities and present recommendations confidently.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decisions are supported by accurate and timely information.
