Data Analyst

About the role
Brooksource is hiring a Data Analyst to support the aftersales and customer support organization of a global automotive manufacturer in Nashville. This is a business-facing analyst role. You'll spend as much time in meetings with business partners as you will in a query editor, and your value comes from understanding what someone actually needs and translating it into a clear data request.
The team supports three value streams focused on total customer support, warranty, and quality. Business requests come in constantly, and this role is the front door for them.
What you'll do
Meet with stakeholders across departments to understand data requests, then determine what's needed and who needs to be involved
Help identify the single source of truth for four to five business-critical data sets that currently pull from multiple departments
Write and run basic queries against transactional databases to validate and shape those data sets
Work directly with other internal teams to trace data lineage and resolve conflicting definitions
Support the team's move toward broader Snowflake adoption and emerging AI use cases
Operate inside an Agile/Scrum delivery model with fast turnarounds
What you need
Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead a conversation with business stakeholders
Working knowledge of SQL and comfort querying a transactional database
Critical thinking — you ask why a request exists before you build anything
Ability to work independently across departments and organize your own priorities
Experience in an Agile or Scrum environment
Nice to have
Snowflake experience or exposure
PostgreSQL
Experience connecting or reporting on Salesforce data
Automotive, warranty, or aftersales background

Location: Nashville, TN — must be local. Onsite four days a week, Monday through Thursday
Start date: early September
Engagement: contract, with extensions reviewed quarterly
Open to mid-level candidates. The client is investing in upskilling, so depth of experience matters less than communication, judgment, and speed
