Data Analyst (AI Data Operations & Cloud Storage)

Job Summary

Join an innovative applied science team dedicated to advancing AI capabilities across leading personal computing and device platforms. As a Data Analyst, you will play an essential role in preparing, validating, and managing large-scale document and text datasets used directly to train state-of-the-art AI models.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated OCR pipelines, tracking processing queues, success rates, and exceptions.
• Conduct sampling and quality checks across generated outputs to detect missing content, formatting errors, or text unreadability.
• Organize and maintain dataset inventories, validating metadata, file versions, and tracking logs.
• Execute routine data transfer operations (uploads, downloads, directory organization) across cloud storage environments.
• Partner with engineering and applied research teams to resolve batch errors, perform reprocessing, and report data readiness status.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.

2+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data quality assurance, dataset management, or data operations.

Demonstrated experience working with cloud storage platforms, including file organization, uploads, and batch transfers.

Proficiency working with common data and document formats, including JSON, CSV, PDF, and plain text files.

Exceptional attention to detail, documentation skills, and clear, structured communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience handling AI/ML training dataset operations or human-in-the-loop validation.

Familiarity with Azure storage utilities such as Azure Storage Explorer or AzCopy.

Basic working knowledge of SQL and Python for light data querying and running pre-built scripts.

Experience building or maintaining operational reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
