Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Data Analyst at World Assessment Council. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and validate data related to digital education and assessment initiatives, ensuring accuracy and consistency. They will perform statistical analyses, build data models, and create dashboards or reports to support decision-making, research, and stakeholder communications. The role includes interpreting trends, identifying insights, and presenting findings in clear visual and written formats for both technical and non-technical audiences. The Data Analyst will collaborate with program leads, researchers, and external partners to define data requirements and support ongoing projects and publications.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and experience applying them to real-world education or assessment data.
Proficiency in data analytics, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and visualization.
Solid understanding of statistics, including descriptive and inferential methods relevant to research and program evaluation.
Experience with data modeling, including designing data structures and building models to answer business or research questions.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in clear language.
Familiarity with common analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, or BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Education Research, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Background or strong interest in digital education, assessments, or talent development is highly beneficial.
