Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Data Analyst at Kings & States. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and structure quantitative and qualitative data related to geopolitical and geoeconomic topics. The role involves conducting statistical and data-driven analyses, building data models, and generating visualizations to support research publications and internal decision-making. The Data Analyst will collaborate with researchers and subject-matter experts to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and contribute to reports, briefings, and presentations. The role also includes maintaining documentation, ensuring data quality, and recommending improvements to data workflows and tools.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and experience applying Data Analytics techniques to real-world datasets.
Proficiency in Statistics and quantitative methods for hypothesis testing, trend analysis, and forecasting.
Ability to design and implement Data Modeling solutions to support research questions and scenario analysis.
Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
Experience with data tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, or similar), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in geopolitics, international economics, and global policy issues, with the ability to interpret data in these contexts.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
