Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Data Analyst at Gas Natural BAN. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and validate data from various internal systems to support decision-making across the organization. Daily tasks include performing quantitative analyses, building and maintaining reports and dashboards, and developing data models to track key performance indicators. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical approaches, presenting findings in clear, accessible formats, and recommending data-driven improvements. The Data Analyst will also support the design of metrics, documentation of data processes, and continuous improvement of data quality and analytics tools.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics to interpret complex datasets and extract actionable insights.
Solid understanding of statistics to design analyses, validate results, and support evidence-based recommendations.
Experience with data modeling to structure, organize, and optimize data for reporting and analysis.
Clear and effective communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and support informed decision-making.
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, or BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau).
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in the utilities or energy sector and familiarity with KPI tracking and reporting are a plus.
