- Role Description This is a part-time, remote Data Analyst role focused on supporting research and operational initiatives related to cognitive security. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from diverse digital and behavioral sources, and performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify patterns, risks, and emerging threats. The role involves building and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights to researchers, leadership, and external partners. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design metrics, evaluate interventions, and inform strategy, while documenting methodologies and ensuring data integrity and ethical handling. The position also includes contributing to publications, presentations, and internal knowledge bases that translate complex findings into clear, actionable narratives.
- Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to interpret complex, ambiguous data sets.
- Candidates should possess data analytics capabilities, including data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and visualization using common tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, BI platforms).
- Candidates should possess statistics knowledge, such as hypothesis testing, regression, and basic experimental design relevant to behavioral and security-focused research.
- Candidates should possess data modeling skills, including designing schemas, building predictive or descriptive models, and structuring data pipelines for research and reporting.
- Candidates should possess communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including concise written reports and structured presentations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, behavioral science, or AI/ML concepts is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, computer science, psychology, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
