Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data & AI Presales Architect with a strong Retail domain experience. The ideal candidate will engage at a strategic level, shape solutions, and drive opportunities to closure. This role requires a blend of technical depth, business acumen, and strong communication skills to design end-to-end data and AI solutions aligned with customer objectives.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in client conversations, solutioning, proposal development, and deal strategy, while bringing credibility and thought leadership in data analytics and AI-driven transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Retail SME, advising clients on data strategy across merchandising, supply chain, inventory, POS, customer analytics, and omnichannel commerce.
• Drive solution architecture, strategy, and roadmap development for analytics and AI initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, articulating value propositions and business outcomes effectively.
• Lead pre-sales engagements by understanding customer challenges and translating them into scalable data and AI solutions.
• Participate in discovery sessions, workshops, and executive-level discussions to shape requirements.
• Design end-to-end data platforms including data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and visualization layers.
• Define and present solution architectures, technical proposals, and effort estimations.
• Create compelling presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts to showcase capabilities.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in AI, Generative AI, and advanced analytics, and align them with customer usecases.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, proposal writing, and client presentations.
• Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Architecture roles.
• Experience working with Retail, Apparel, Clothing, Footwear, or similar companies.
• Strong expertise in data platforms and analytics ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with tools/technologies such as: Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Synapse)
• ETL/ELT (ADF, Informatica, etc)
• Big Data (Databricks, Spark).
• Experience designing modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage with C-level and senior business stakeholders.
