Job Opportunity Information Systems Security Officer
I am currently recruiting for a specialized Cyber Security Analyst to join an established, employee owned defense contractor at their facility in either Tucson, Arizona or Northridge, California. This is an essential onsite role supporting national security efforts through the management of classified information systems.

Core Duties
Serve as the primary ISSO ensuring compliance with RMF, JSIG, and NIST 800-53 standards.
Manage and update all required security documentation including System Security Plans and Plans of Action and Milestones.
Carry out system audits, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring tasks throughout the system lifecycle.
Implement and validate security controls while supporting configuration management processes.
Lead incident response efforts including investigation and remediation of security events.
Prepare the organization for internal and external inspections and assist the ISSM with technical security tasks.
Candidate Requirements
Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph is mandatory.
Between one and two years of direct experience in an ISSO role or similar cybersecurity capacity for classified environments.
Proven familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, and JSIG frameworks.
Valid IAT Level II certification such as Security Plus, CySA, or CISSP, or the ability to secure one within ninety days of hire.
Technical proficiency in hardening Windows desktop and server operating systems.
Experience using security tools such as Nessus, ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer.
Strong technical writing skills for documenting system procedures and diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Linux RHEL 8 or 9 configuration and hardening.
Familiarity with tools like McAfee ePO, Bitlocker, or SIEM platforms.
Understanding of NIST 800-171 or ICD 503 regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is 80,000 to 110,000 per year depending on experience level and technical skills.

This role requires US Citizenship and the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
