About The Role

We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team supporting the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) contract in Quantico, VA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and maintaining cybersecurity packages in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to help achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical systems, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and implementing best practices to safeguard sensitive information.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of related cybersecurity experience. Alternatively, candidates with five years of relevant experience without a degree will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with DoD 8140 at an intermediate or advanced level, holding certifications such as CASP+CE, Security+, CISSP, or CISM. Proven expertise in NIST guidelines, FISMA, cybersecurity principles, and methodologies is essential. Familiarity with federal standards, risk management frameworks, and technical knowledge of IT systems is required. Candidates should have an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance. Preferred qualifications include USMC or Navy Validator certification, OSCP/OSEP/CPTS certifications, and experience working with cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system documentation accurately reflects current security configurations, including hardware, software, data flow, interconnections, ports, protocols, and services.
  • Perform compliance reviews and analyses to verify adherence to federal requirements such as EO, OMB Memos, A-130, NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, FIPS 199, and FIPS 200.
  • Analyze security implementations across systems, focusing on people, processes, and technologies, identifying gaps, and recommending effective solutions.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Authorization Recommendations (ARs), and Cybersecurity Strategies (CSSs).
  • Research and address obstacles related to evolving FISMA requirements, providing strategic recommendations to ensure compliance and security posture.
  • Maintain and update GRC SharePoint sites, including document uploads, page updates, access requests, and permission management to facilitate seamless information sharing and compliance tracking.
