Construction Manager
- Location: Nationwide (75-100% travel across the U.S.)

The Opportunity
- A leading project management and owner's representative consultancy is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical projects across the United States. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in complex data centre environments and enjoys working directly with owners, contractors, and project stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- As a key member of the project team, you'll support projects from design and preconstruction through commissioning, turnover, and closeout. Acting as the owner's representative, you'll help manage risk, coordinate stakeholders, monitor project performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- This position offers significant responsibility, exposure to some of the industry's most advanced mission-critical facilities, and the opportunity to develop within a highly respected consultancy serving the rapidly growing data centre sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Support mission-critical construction projects through all phases of delivery.
- Assist in translating client objectives into actionable construction and execution plans.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
- Contribute to project planning, reporting, and risk mitigation efforts.
Owner's Representation
- Represent the owner's interests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, construction meetings, and contractor coordination activities.
- Review project documentation, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and contractor deliverables.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks through proactive planning and forecasting.
Construction & Field Oversight
- Monitor onsite execution to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and industry standards.
- Support quality assurance, quality control, and commissioning readiness activities.
- Coordinate issue resolution and help maintain project momentum through effective problem-solving.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project environments.
Client Management & Reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Support project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Represent the organisation professionally on project sites and during client interactions.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to lessons learned and process improvement initiatives.
- Leverage construction technology, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Support the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance project delivery and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- 5+ years of construction, commissioning, engineering, or mission-critical project delivery experience.
- Experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Experience working as a Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Superintendent, Owner's Representative, or similar construction leadership role.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
Technical Expertise
- Understanding of mission-critical electrical, mechanical, controls, and commissioning processes.
- Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, construction management, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with MOP processes, commissioning protocols, and operational readiness requirements.
- Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong organisational and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
Travel Requirements
- 75-100% travel across the United States.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence and be able to rent vehicles.
- Ability to relocate for long-term project assignments if required.
- Must meet all domestic travel requirements, including REAL ID compliance.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent mission-critical construction, commissioning, electrical, mechanical, or controls experience will also be considered.
