Work at the point where large-scale customer data becomes real-world campaign execution for a Fortune 500 energy and consumer services organization serving millions of customers. This opportunity is designed for a technically strong analyst who enjoys building, validating, and troubleshooting complex customer populations—not a traditional marketing role. Work hands-on with SAS, SQL, Databricks, Genie AI, ETL, and UNIX while supporting campaigns where data accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery directly affect the customer experience.
Houston-based candidates are preferred for a four-day-per-week hybrid schedule; remote candidates elsewhere in the U.S. may also be considered.
The Campaign Data Analyst will develop and deliver targeted customer populations for residential and small-business marketing initiatives. This role translates campaign objectives, eligibility criteria, segmentation rules, and channel requirements into accurate, execution-ready datasets while serving as a technical partner to Marketing, Digital, Channel, and Data teams.

- Build and deliver targeted customer populations across multiple marketing channels.
- Translate campaign requirements, eligibility criteria, segmentation, and business rules into accurate data logic.
- Develop and execute campaign population processes using SAS and ETL methodologies.

- Work within Databricks and Genie AI to access and analyze target-source data.
- Perform detailed quality assurance to validate populations against documented requirements and compliance controls.
- Investigate data discrepancies, unexpected results, and downstream execution issues.
- Manage multiple campaign development projects simultaneously while meeting firm delivery deadlines.
- Partner with Marketing, Digital, Channel, Campaign Operations, and Analytics teams to clarify requirements and coordinate execution.
- Establish repeatable coding and development standards that improve consistency and accuracy.
- Communicate campaign population logic, progress, issues, and audience insights to business stakeholders.
- Coordinate data exchanges with analytics teams to support campaign development.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of direct marketing, campaign analytics, marketing data, or related analytical experience required.
- Advanced hands-on SAS experience, including data preparation and ETL.
- Advanced SQL and relational database skills.
- Strong experience working within a UNIX environment required.
- Experience manipulating and validating large customer datasets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer segmentation, targeted audience development, and campaign business rules.
- Databricks and Genie AI experience preferred.
- Experience delivering compliance-sensitive data with rigorous quality-control requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Copilot.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Experience with campaign and project management tools preferred.
- Ability to translate changing or ambiguous business requirements into accurate technical execution.
