Business System Analyst

Role Overview:

• We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst - Payments with deep expertise in payment systems, data analysis, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams, drive requirements gathering, support system implementations, and ensure seamless payment processing solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Key Responsibilities
• Analyse, document, and improve payment processing workflows and business requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and testing teams to deliver payment system enhancements and strategic initiatives.
• Work extensively with payment networks and messaging standards including SWIFT, Federal Reserve (Fed) payment systems, and ISO 20022.
• Perform data analysis and reporting using SQL and reporting tools to identify trends, validate system performance, and support business decisions.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, process flows, business requirements documents, and operational procedures.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional discussions.
• Support end-to-end project delivery through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Coordinate testing activities, defect management, and production implementation support.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues, negotiate priorities, and drive successful outcomes.
• Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience working with payment systems and financial messaging standards such as SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, RTP, and ISO 20022.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and data validation.
• Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar).
• Excellent documentation skills with experience creating business and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and project delivery methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
