Job Title: Senior Power BI - SQL Reporting Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Employment Type: Contract – 6 months with potential extension

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI - SQL Reporting Analyst to support enhancements to an existing enterprise reporting solution for third-party service provider reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining SSRS reports, writing complex SQL/T-SQL queries, extracting and analyzing data from enterprise data warehouses, and supporting data modeling and ETL activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL/T-SQL, SSRS, SQL Server, data warehousing, and dimensional data modeling, along with experience partnering with business and technology teams to deliver accurate and effective reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain SSRS reports within the existing enterprise reporting environment.
Write complex SQL/T-SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise data warehouses.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, joins, and other database objects.
Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
Work with data models, data mapping, and dimensional databases to support reporting requirements.
Support ETL processes using SSIS or similar technologies.
Perform data validation, troubleshooting, analysis, and reporting issue resolution.
Develop and enhance Power BI and Tableau dashboards as needed.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
Support reporting and analytics initiatives involving third-party service provider data.
Contribute to complex analytics initiatives requiring detailed analysis, problem-solving, and evaluation of multiple factors.
Participate in testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL / T-SQL.
Strong experience developing SSRS reports using Report Designer and/or Report Builder.
Strong experience with SQL Server and enterprise data warehouses.
Strong understanding of data modeling, including dimensional data models.
Experience with ETL processes, preferably SSIS.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power BI and dashboard development.
Experience with Tableau.
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
Knowledge of star and snowflake schemas.
Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis.
Experience with third-party service provider data modeling and reporting.
Previous experience in the financial services industry.
