Business Analyst

• Business Analyst
• A client of Robert Half is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry to support cross-functional business and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and hands-on exposure to insurance processes such as claims, underwriting, policy administration, billing, or customer service.

• Key Responsibilities
• Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and process flows
• Analyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements
• Support projects across insurance operations and technology teams
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and UAT activities
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
• Perform data analysis to support decision-making and reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business analysis experience
• Must have insurance industry experience (P&C, Life, Health, Group Benefits, or similar)
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments
• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

• Nice to Have
• Experience with insurance systems or platforms
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
• BA or insurance designations (CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, CIP, FCIP)
