About The Role

The SAP Business Analyst – Finance at Wesdome plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between finance stakeholders and SAP technical teams. This position involves analyzing financial business processes, gathering detailed requirements, and ensuring that SAP FI/CO solutions—including S/4HANA—are effectively designed, configured, and optimized to support financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will partner closely with accounting, treasury, and controlling teams to translate complex business needs into practical SAP configurations. Additionally, they will facilitate workshops, support system testing, and provide training to end users. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence financial systems and processes within a leading gold mining company, contributing directly to its operational success and growth trajectory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an SAP FI/CO Business Analyst, with S/4HANA experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), fixed assets, cost accounting, and internal orders
  • Experience with SAP Fiori financial applications and reporting tools such as SAP BW/BI
  • Proficiency in SAP configuration, testing, and documentation
  • Knowledge of SAP business process analysis and modeling
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (verbal and written); bilingualism preferred
  • Experience with project management methodologies is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Partner with finance teams—including accounting, AP/AR, treasury, and controlling—to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
  • Translate business requirements into SAP FI/CO configurations, workflows, and reporting structures
  • Facilitate workshops to review and optimize current financial processes such as month-end close, fixed assets management, and cost center accounting
  • Document workflows, functional specifications, and recommend system solutions
  • Configure SAP systems and update master data to meet business needs
  • Support SAP finance implementation projects, system enhancements, and rollouts
  • Develop and execute test scripts, support user acceptance testing, and ensure system integrity
  • Follow change management protocols and transport procedures
  • Create user guides and deliver training sessions to end users
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial systems
  • Troubleshoot FI/CO-related issues and coordinate with SAP support teams and external partners
  • Assist users with SAP reporting tools, queries, and data extraction processes
