- Job Summary
- STRAVEXA is seeking a Business Analyst on behalf of our client in Tallahassee, FL to support a legacy application modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will lead business analysis, application assessment, requirements gathering, and project coordination efforts focused on migrating legacy Microsoft Access databases to a modern enterprise application platform.
- This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, financial SMEs, and implementation partners.
- Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess legacy Microsoft Access databases, including tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA code.
- Gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements for application modernization.
- Map existing business processes, workflows, financial logic, reporting requirements, and data structures.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering meetings.
- Collaborate with business, technical, financial, and implementation teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Support project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Help align legacy application functionality with modern enterprise and low-code/no-code solutions.
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise software implementation or application modernization projects.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience analyzing Microsoft Access databases.
- Strong understanding of relational tables, SQL queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA.
- Experience documenting business processes, workflows, functional requirements, and application requirements.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering workshops.
- Experience with application migration, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Understanding of financial processes and data, including budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, cost allocation, or expense tracking.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, OutSystems, Mendix, Airtable, or similar platforms.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as:
- PMP
- PMI-PBA
- CBAP
- Scrum Master certification
