Position Overview

UpSela Talent Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Electronic Health Records (EHR) Business Analyst to support healthcare technology initiatives, EHR implementations, system enhancements, clinical workflow optimization, requirements management, and business process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in business analysis, EHR systems, healthcare operations, clinical workflows, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, gap analysis, reporting, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Gather, analyze, document, prioritize, and validate business, clinical, operational, technical, data, and reporting requirements for EHR initiatives.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and business process assessments.
• Translate healthcare business needs and clinical workflows into clear, testable, solution-neutral requirements.
• Analyze current-state and future-state workflows to identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
• Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, business rules, requirements matrices, and gap analyses.
• Identify shared requirements, program-specific variations, conflicting needs, and opportunities for standardization.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, requirements validation sessions, and issue resolution.
• Support EHR implementations, system enhancements, configuration validation, and clinical workflow improvements.
• Develop test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), document defects, and validate functionality against approved requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate requirements reviews, stakeholder engagement, testing activities, and project deliverables.
• Prepare executive-level reports, project updates, risk assessments, and business analysis documentation.
• Support SOP development, change management, and business process optimization.
• Provide business analysis support across multiple concurrent EHR initiatives, including patient-facing functionality and reporting enhancements.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional Business Analyst experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, validation, and prioritization.
• Strong knowledge of business process improvement, workflow analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops.
• Experience developing executive-level reports, process documentation, SOPs, and risk analyses.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting EHR implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
• Background in healthcare, public health, government, or similar service-oriented environments.
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field.
• Experience with clinical workflow validation, UAT, requirements traceability, and system testing.
• Lean Six Sigma, Business Analysis, Project Management, or Change Management training or certification.
• Familiarity with healthcare data requirements, clinical reporting, and compliance processes.
