Seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to work at a growing U.S. broker-dealer subsidiary of a global financial services group based out of Spain.

- Accounting Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain accounting policies for B/D
- Maintain system and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end closing process of books and records
- Assist with monthly finance presentation material to Senior Management and quarterly presentation to the Board of Directors
- Prepare daily journal entries as needed
- Assist with the annual audit of the financial statements
- Analyze monthly variances in balance sheet and income statement
- Track and analyze revenue and operating expenses by lines of business
- Participate in user-acceptance testing as part of new business/system roll-outs and validate the testing results
Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of FINRA FOCUS Reports including the form X-17A-5 Part II, Supplemental Statement of Income (SSOI), Form Custody for Broker Dealers, Supplemental Liquidity Schedule (SLS), Off Balance Sheet Report (OBS) and SEC 17H reports
- Assist with preparation of 15c3-1 Daily Net Capital computations and Customer Protection Rule 15c3-3 (weekly) for a self-clearing broker dealer
- Assist with TIC BC, & TIC BL monthly reporting to the Federal Reserve
- Assist with monthly consolidation to BD’s foreign parent
- Assist with audits with regulators and internal/external auditors
Qualifications
- Must Have
- 3+ Years of accounting experience in financial institutions
- Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
- US GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- CPA or on track
- Familiarity with fixed income securities
- Experience in using Broadridge Impact
- Experience in using Workday Enterprise Management
- Accounting experience in US broker

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000 to $110,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
