• Our client is a Calgary-based EPCM firm supporting the design and execution of a large-scale, mission-critical data center project for a confidential multinational technology company.

The project brings together multidisciplinary engineering, design, construction, vendor, and trade teams across complex architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems.

• About the Role
• We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support the coordination and execution of a major data center project.

The BIM Coordinator will work closely with the EPCM project team, engineering consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and trade partners to manage multidisciplinary BIM coordination and maintain alignment across the project's federated models.

This role requires experience with complex BIM environments, strong Autodesk Navisworks capabilities, and the ability to coordinate major building systems and mission-critical equipment.

• Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and maintenance of the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and associated BIM standards.
• Manage and maintain the federated BIM model across multiple engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and trade partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings involving designers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and trades.
• Perform clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution management using Autodesk Navisworks and related Autodesk platforms.
• Coordinate interfaces between architectural, structural, HVAC, chilled-water, electrical, telecommunications, controls, and other building systems.
• Review discipline models for coordination, constructability, equipment clearances, maintenance access, and compliance with project BIM requirements.
• Coordinate major equipment layouts and associated structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls interfaces.
• Support the integration of vendor and contractor models into the overall project model.
• Track BIM coordination issues through resolution.
• Support design and construction teams with model-related RFIs, design changes, and coordination requirements.

• Core Competencies
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks.
• Strong working experience with Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related Autodesk platforms.
• Multidisciplinary BIM, VDC, design coordination, or modeling experience.
• Experience managing large federated models involving multiple designers, contractors, vendors, and trade partners.
• Strong coordination experience across architectural and structural systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and chilled-water systems, including CRAHs and CRACs.
• Experience coordinating medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience coordinating telecommunications and low-voltage systems.
• Understanding of equipment clearances, maintenance access, constructability, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Ability to lead technical coordination meetings and drive issues through to resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Education and Experience
• 5+ years of BIM, VDC, design coordination, or multidisciplinary modeling experience.
• Demonstrated experience modeling or coordinating mission-critical equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, fuel systems, bus duct/busway, battery rooms, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Previous experience on hyperscale data centers or other mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
• Experience on semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex industrial projects will also be considered valuable.
• Previous experience within an EPCM environment or supporting major capital projects is preferred.
