Azure ML Engineer

• We're looking for an Azure Machine Learning Engineer to help build and deploy AI-powered solutions across a variety of business functions. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on machine learning, generative AI, and production AI systems that drive real business value.
• You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, improved decision making, and enhanced productivity. The ideal candidate combines strong machine learning fundamentals with experience building solutions in Azure and Databricks environments.

This is a longterm contract role, onsite in NYC 3 days a week.

• What You'll Do
• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models in Azure
• Develop AI and GenAI solutions for enterprise use cases
• Design and maintain ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and inference
• Work with large structured and unstructured datasets
• Implement retrieval, embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering techniques
• Partner with business teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions
• Evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy and business outcomes
• Contribute to MLOps, monitoring, and production deployment best practices
• What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of experience building machine learning solutions in enterprise environments
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI services
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Experience building and deploying ML models into production
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector search
• Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
• Nice to Have
• Experience with LangChain or similar AI frameworks
• MLOps experience including model versioning and monitoring
• Azure certifications
• Experience with Azure OpenAI and modern GenAI tooling
