- Assistant Project Manager, Data Center Turnover & Operational Readiness
- Saline, MI | 75% On-site | Contract |
- Help hand off the data halls powering the next generation of AI.
- Resolute Project Professionals is partnering with a Fortune 100 technology leader on one of the largest data center campuses in the country. As buildings and data halls are completed in phases, each one must move cleanly from construction to the operations team that will run it around the clock.
- We are seeking an organized, detail-driven Assistant Project Manager to support that handoff. Working with the Data Center Construction Lead, you will track the documents, deficiencies, training, and open items that determine whether a data hall is ready for Day 1 operations. You will also support construction coordination and quality assurance in the field.
- This is an ideal role for an early-career construction professional who wants to build deep expertise in mission-critical facilities.
- What You Will Do
- Turnover and Operational Readiness
- Maintain turnover checklists for each building or data hall and track readiness against them
- Collect and verify turnover deliverables: as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, commissioning records, and training materials
- Coordinate across construction, commissioning, vendor, and operations teams to close items blocking turnover
- Schedule vendor-led training for operations staff, including attendance, site access, and materials
- Track training completion and maintain attendance records and follow-up actions
- Support turnover walkthroughs and document open deficiencies, responsible owners, and corrective-action status
- Construction Coordination and Quality
- Join site walks to document progress, coordination issues, and quality concerns
- Support reviews of installed work against approved drawings and specifications
- Own punch lists and deficiency logs, and track corrective actions through closure
- Track installation progress for power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling
- Support coordination of tenant fit-out activities across design and construction
- Project Controls and Documentation
- Maintain schedules, milestone trackers, and action logs across multiple projects
- Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and drive action items to completion
- Manage RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and design review records
- Organize contract records and track required vendor and contractor submissions
- Risk and Issue Management
- Maintain risk, issue, and decision logs with clear owners and current status
- Flag schedule delays, documentation gaps, and quality concerns early, and escalate with context
- What You Bring
- 2 to 4 years in construction coordination, assistant project management, project engineering, or facilities infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with project closeout or turnover documentation
- Working knowledge of construction phases, drawings, and specifications
- Strong organization across many moving deliverables and stakeholders
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and at least one scheduling or construction document tool
Preferred
- Data center, colocation, or mission-critical construction or operations experience
- Exposure to commissioning documentation or vendor training for operations teams
- Familiarity with power distribution, backup power, cooling, networking, or structured cabling
- Experience with CxAlloy, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project
- Military veterans encouraged to apply
- Location
- Locally based candidates able to work 100% onsite in Saline, MI are preferred. Nonlocal candidates must be available for 75% or greater travel.
