Analytics Coordinator

Job Description
As the Analytics Coordinator for the Burlington Bees, you will be an active, integral part of the many facets of a college summer baseball organization. The primary responsibility is to provide fair, accurate, impartial and consistent analytics reporting for both teams involved in Bees’ home games.

In addition, this position will accommodate coaches from both teams with statistical reports and current rosters.

You will help maintain a clean workspace and assist others with their duties when possible.

-        Complete Trackman training as provided by the Prospect Baseball League

-        Tag each home game using Trackman analytics program

-        Inventory and record all pitcher’s pitch repertoire and accurately report them during home games

-        Help official scorer track and reporting pitch counts for all pitchers participating in each home game

-        Provide live analytical information for coaches in the dugout during most away games

-        Cooperate with colleagues in the press box to ensure accurate lineup changes as they happen during each home game

-        Reproduce statistical summaries from the league website

-        Help prepare statistical packets for home and visiting teams each home game

-        Assist Broadcast team with logistics as needed

-        Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the press box 

-        Help Marketing/Media Interns duties as assigned

 

Start Date
Start in mid-May. End on August 5 (start and finish dates are somewhat flexible).
 

Hours
Full time. 10 AM through end of post-game production. Tuesday through Saturday home games start at 6:30 PM. Expect to work weekends and special events.  The Analytics Coordinator travels with the team to most away games.

Compensation and Benefits 
Your housing and all utilities are paid for. Housing is provided in Southeastern Community College’s Millennial Hall resident apartments.  The apartment includes pass key security, full size kitchen and internet connection.  These are two-bedroom, four bed units. The team provides a free meal each home game. Two meals per day are provided on road trips.

There is a $150 per month stipend.

Qualifications
Must be enrolled in or have just graduated from a college sports administration, sports statistics or similar program. Must possess excellent working knowledge of the rules of baseball.  Must be detail oriented.  Must be able to create and distribute understandable analytic reports.
