- Role Description The Vice-President of Data Analytics at Alavancados: Bastidores do Mercado Financeiro is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s analytics vision. This role oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of data analytics frameworks that support strategic decision-making across finance, product, and operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading a team of data professionals, defining key performance metrics, reviewing analytical models and reports, and ensuring data quality and governance standards are maintained. The VP will collaborate with senior leadership to translate business objectives into analytics roadmaps, guide experimentation and testing, and communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats. The role also involves staying current with industry trends, evaluating new tools and technologies, and championing a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
- Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience applying Data Analytics and Analytics to solve complex business problems.
- Proficiency in Statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, and predictive modeling for financial and operational data.
- Solid understanding of Finance and financial markets, with the ability to connect analytical findings to financial performance.
- Experience leading data and analytics teams, including mentoring, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with modern analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python or R, BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and best practices for data architecture and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record in designing and implementing data-driven strategies in a high-growth or finance-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance); advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing distributed teams and coordinating across time zones.
