• The Opportunity
• Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Accountant – Financial Analyst for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization supporting critical National Security and Government projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with extensive Government contract cost accounting experience to join a dynamic Finance team. Working directly with the Controller, you will support project cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable, with the potential to grow into a Senior Accountant role over time.

• Key Responsibilities
• Support daily accounting operations, with an emphasis on Government contract cost accounting, project financial management, and budgeting.
• Prepare financial inputs for monthly reporting and maintain accurate contract financial information.
• Manage and track labor, timekeeping, travel, leave, compensatory time, and other direct costs.
• Create purchase requests and purchase orders for vendors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Review travel estimates and employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare customer invoices and manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable.
• Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and financial reporting for Government contracts.
• Work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 15+ years of accounting operations experience.
• 10+ years of DoD or Government contract cost accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PROCAS or other DCAA-compliant accounting systems preferred.
• Familiarity with Delphi, WAWF, and Government contract invoicing processes is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
