Help us understand the next generation of Leatherman consumers—and turn what we learn into smarter decisions.

At Leatherman, we make products built for real life. Now we're building the intelligence capability that will help us better understand the people who use them, what matters to them, and how we continue creating products and experiences that earn a place in their lives.

If you're an analyst who loves digging into consumer behavior, challenging assumptions, building something from the ground up, and asking “What does the data actually say?”—this may be your kind of opportunity.

Leatherman is building a Consumer Intelligence system—a capability to know who our next-gen consumer is, what they care about, and whether the things we're putting into the world actually matter to them. That system only works if we can measure it.

The Commercial Intelligence Analyst is the quantitative measurement specialist within that system. You're the person who gets hands-on with the data, builds the analytics and measurement frameworks, and brings a clear POV about what's working, what's not, and why.

You'll work at the intersection of consumer, marketing, commerce, product, and commercial performance, unbiased and always asking, “What does the data actually say?”

You'll translate business questions into measurement approaches, build scalable analytics solutions, and turn complex data into insights that help teams make better decisions.

You'll partner closely with Marketing, Product, eCommerce, Consumer Insights, Finance, and IT to connect data across the business and strengthen how Leatherman measures consumer and commercial performance.

What You'll Own

Growth & consumer/customer analytics: Connect marketing, sales, commerce, and customer data to identify what's driving growth, why, and what to do next.

Performance analytics infrastructure: Build and maintain trusted datasets, dashboards, and analytical workflows across GA4, Shopify, CDP/customer data, marketing, and BI platforms.

Measurement frameworks: Translate business questions into KPIs and measurement approaches for consumer mindsets, concepts, campaigns, activations, and commercial performance.

Consumer/customer data health: Identify data gaps and inconsistencies and partner with IT, Finance, and platform owners to improve measurement reliability.

Consumer/customer lifecycle & CLTV: Measure acquisition, retention, repeat purchase, lifecycle progression, and short- and long-term customer value.

Attribution & marketing effectiveness: Advance cross-channel measurement of demand, attribution, incrementality, and commercial outcomes, including capabilities such as MMM.

Decision support & deep dives: Investigate priority business questions, challenge assumptions, and turn findings into clear recommendations.

Cross-functional measurement: Partner across Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Consumer Insights, Product, Finance, and IT to create consistent, trusted measurement.

AI-enabled analytics: Use AI, automation, SQL, Python, and emerging tools to accelerate analysis and turn complex data into intelligence.

Who We're Looking For

  • You have
  • 4–6 years of experience in analytics, insights, or measurement such as growth analytics, marketing analytics, customer analytics, commercial analytics, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong hands-on analytical skills, including SQL, Python, or equivalent. You can do the work, not just ask others to do it.
  • Hands-on experience with GA4 and digital commerce analytics. Shopify Analytics experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with BI and data platforms such as Tableau, Looker, CDPs, and digital marketing and commerce platforms.
  • Experience turning ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and measurement frameworks.
  • Experience with customer and lifecycle analytics, including areas such as acquisition, retention, repeat purchase, cohort analysis, or CLV.
  • Familiarity with cross-channel attribution, incrementality, marketing effectiveness, or customer journey measurement.
  • A track record of building useful measurement solutions—not just reporting what happened.
  • Strong analytical judgment. You challenge assumptions, investigate data that doesn't make sense, and are comfortable saying when the evidence doesn't support the prevailing narrative.
  • Experience partnering across functions such as Marketing, Commerce, Sales, Finance, Product, and IT.
  • The ability to translate complex analysis into a clear story and actionable implications for non-technical audiences.
  • Genuine curiosity about consumer behavior and how better measurement can drive better decisions.

You'll Probably Love This Role If You're Energized By...

Being a builder. You like creating something that didn't exist before and taking ownership of making it useful.

Raising the bar. You're not satisfied with reporting what happened. You want to build better measurement, ask better questions, and continuously improve how we understand performance.

Bringing an independent POV. You follow the evidence, challenge assumptions, and are willing to say when the data doesn't support the prevailing narrative.

Asking why. You're genuinely curious about consumers, what drives their behavior, and what the data can teach us. You experiment, dig deeper, and keep learning.

Turning complexity into clarity. You enjoy taking messy data and ambiguous business questions and turning them into something people can understand and act on.

Building for scale. You think beyond the immediate analysis or dashboard and look for repeatable approaches that make the entire organization smarter over time.

Using new tools to push the work forward. You actively experiment with AI, automation, and emerging technology—not simply to work faster, but to unlock analysis and intelligence that weren't previously possible.

  • How We Work at Leatherman
  • Success in this role isn't only about technical capability. How you work, collaborate, learn, and make decisions matters too. Our behaviors include:

Effective Communication • Critical Thinking • Empathy & Emotional Intelligence • Creativity & Innovation • Adaptability • Decision-Making • Growth Mindset • AI & Technology Fluency

  • Bonus Points
  • You've worked in DTC, CPG, retail, or another consumer-forward environment.
  • You've worked with CDP or customer identity data.
  • You have experience with experimentation, causal inference, incrementality testing, or marketing mix modeling.
  • You've built AI/agentic workflows or lightweight analytical tools using modern AI and vibe-coding approaches.
  • You've worked with data that spans both direct-to-consumer and wholesale/retail channels.
