Operations Excellence Manager Full-Time, Senior Individual Contributor

About The Role

ACPWB is adding a Workforce Analytics Product Director to support a practice area that has grown faster than our current staffing model anticipated. This is, we have been told, a good problem to have. The Operations Excellence team is intellectually rigorous, occasionally quirky, and entirely committed to the work. We offer competitive compensation, genuine flexibility, and the satisfaction of working at a firm that practices what it publishes.

The Workforce Analytics Product Director is a key member of ACPWB's Operations Excellence practice and will lead or co-lead engagements focused on executive pay accountability for clients across multiple industries. You will develop frameworks, conduct analysis, draft deliverables, and present findings to audiences that range from highly receptive to skeptical but ultimately persuadable. Strong communication skills are essential. Strong convictions about Milwaukee are encouraged.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a Workforce Analytics Product Director who wants to shape ACPWB's approach to executive pay accountability. The Operations Excellence team works closely with clients ranging from startup-stage employers benchmarking their first compensation philosophy to public company boards navigating activist scrutiny. Your work will be used. That is not a guarantee we make lightly.

Key Responsibilities

  • ◆ Design incentive plan design and modeling project frameworks tailored to client organizational size, industry, and governance structure
  • ◆ Draft client-ready deliverables including research reports, executive summaries, and board presentations
  • ◆ Author quarterly client-facing research briefs summarizing key market trends in executive pay accountability
  • ◆ Lead client workshops and working sessions on executive pay accountability strategy and implementation
  • ◆ Oversee production and quality assurance of incentive plan design and modeling project work across concurrent client engagements

Qualifications

Required

  • ◆ Strong attention to detail and commitment to analytical accuracy
  • ◆ Comfort presenting findings to skeptical or challenging audiences
  • ◆ Experience in or advising clients in the nonprofit and social sector sector on compensation and workforce matters
  • ◆ Familiarity with Willis Towers Watson SIRS or comparable compensation management and market pricing software
  • ◆ Comfort with ambiguity and a proven track record of producing structured, defensible solutions despite it

Preferred

  • ◆ Experience with workforce analytics platforms such as Visier or Workday Prism
  • ◆ Background in employment law or regulatory compliance related to compensation
  • ◆ Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation
  • ◆ Track record of developing proprietary analytical methodologies and IP

WHY ACPWB

ACPWB's research has been cited in proxy statements, board resolutions, congressional testimony, and one notable shareholder activist's public campaign. We believe that means our work is consequential. We know it means we have to keep earning that reputation every year.

ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

We interview thoroughly and move quickly. Candidates who complete our process receive a decision within one week of the final interview. We make competitive offers and do not negotiate against candidates who have honestly shared their expectations. We are a compensation firm. We are aware of the irony of behaving otherwise.

What Success Looks Like In Year One

  • ◆ Complete ACPWB's internal compensation methodology certification course
  • ◆ Lead or co-lead at least two client engagements from kickoff through final delivery
  • ◆ Establish a regular cadence with your manager for feedback, development planning, and career discussion
  • ◆ Complete at least one external professional development activity — conference, certification, or course
