Vendor Insurance Analyst
Position Summary
The Vendor Insurance Analyst is responsible for frontline insurance risk management by partnering with vendors, subcontractors, project teams, and internal departments to ensure compliance with company insurance requirements. This role reviews and analyzes insurance documentation, supports contract compliance efforts, and maintains accurate records within company systems for an assigned territory.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Review & Risk Management
- Review, analyze, and interpret vendor and subcontractor insurance documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
- Evaluate casualty and liability insurance coverages and determine approval or denial based on policy analysis.
- Review contracts and written agreements to understand vendor scope of work and associated insurance requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance compliance matters within an assigned territory.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, insurance representatives, and project management teams throughout the insurance review process.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
- Provide guidance and support regarding insurance requirements, documentation deficiencies, and compliance updates.
Documentation & Systems Management
- Enter, maintain, and track insurance compliance information within company databases and software platforms.
- Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping to support project teams and internal departments.
- Assist with reporting, tracking, and follow-up activities related to vendor insurance compliance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in-office three days per week, with additional in-office days as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, compliance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of casualty and liability insurance coverages used within the construction industry preferred.
- Experience reviewing contracts, certificates of insurance, or compliance documentation preferred.
