Trade Operations & Support Analyst
- About the Role
- My client, a financial technology firm, is seeking a Trade Operations & Support professional to join its team and provide coverage for trading activity outside of standard market hours. The successful candidate will support institutional trading workflows across extended-hours sessions, monitor trading infrastructure and connectivity, and act as a first point of contact when operational or technical issues arise. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where timing, accuracy, and sound judgment are critical.
- Key Responsibilities
- Support client trading activity during overnight, pre-market, and other extended-hours sessions
- Monitor trading platforms, systems, and connectivity to identify potential issues before they impact clients
- Investigate and resolve trade-related, operational, and connectivity issues, escalating more complex matters when appropriate
- Work closely with teams across trading, technology, operations, clearing, implementation, and client coverage
- Manage routine operational processes and help improve procedures, controls, and workflows
- Maintain clear records of incidents, investigations, and resolutions
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to operational processes
- Provide timely communication to relevant stakeholders during live trading situations
- Experience & Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in trade support, trading operations, market operations, or a similar financial markets environment
- Understanding of equity and/or listed options trading processes
- Experience working in a high-volume environment where issues need to be addressed quickly and accurately
- Previous experience supporting clients or other external stakeholders is highly desirable
- SIE is essential; Series 7 & 57 are preferred, but willingness to obtain is acceptable

- Comfortable working independently with limited day-to-day supervision
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Able to prioritize effectively and remain composed during periods of high activity
- Takes ownership of problems through to resolution
- Naturally curious and motivated to improve existing processes

***Important to note: this role is based in Jersey City, NJ. Some time in the office is preferred, but working mostly remote is fine. We are not able to provide sponsorship.***
