  • Position Summary
  • A growing capital markets organization is seeking a Trade Operations Analyst to support the execution and processing of transactions across global financial markets. This position serves as a critical link between trading, finance, technology, and external market participants to ensure accurate transaction processing, effective operational controls, and timely issue resolution.
  • The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, has a strong understanding of post-trade operations, and is interested in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancement.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily processing of trade activity from execution through final settlement.
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Perform cash, position, and transaction reconciliations across internal systems and external counterparties.
  • Coordinate with clearing firms, custodians, brokers, exchanges, and other market participants to resolve operational inquiries.
  • Monitor daily operational workflows and escalate issues that may impact trading activity or settlement timelines.
  • Support regulatory reporting and operational control processes as required.
  • Maintain accurate books and records in accordance with internal policies and industry requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding new products, trading venues, and operational workflows.
  • Partner with Technology to improve automation, reporting, and data integrity across post-trade processes.
  • Prepare operational metrics and management reporting while identifying trends and process improvement opportunities.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2–6 years of experience in trade operations, settlements, middle office, securities operations, or a related capital markets function.
  • Strong knowledge of the securities trade lifecycle, including allocations, confirmations, clearing, settlement, and reconciliations.
  • Experience working with broker-dealers, investment firms, exchanges, custodians, or clearing organizations.
  • Familiarity with operational risk controls and exception management.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SQL or similar data-querying tools preferred.
  • Exposure to Python, VBA, or workflow automation tools is a plus.
  • Corporate actions experience is beneficial but not required.
