Trade Compliance Analyst

One of the country's most innovative electric vehicle companies is searching for a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to join their trade compliance team on a hybrid basis out of Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be at the center of a high-volume, fast-moving global trade operation, responsible for keeping international shipments compliant and on the move. From classifying goods under complex regulatory frameworks to screening partners against global sanctions lists, your attention to detail and proactive mindset will have a direct impact on the company's ability to operate seamlessly across borders.

This exciting opportunity to join a trailblazing team in the EV space begins as a 12-month W2 contract with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week onsite at their Irvine, CA location. Responsibilities

• Perform HTS and ECCN classifications for parts and technology using technical specifications and engineering data
• Prepare and submit filings to customs and regulatory authorities, including AES/EEI filings, to maintain full legal compliance
• Conduct restricted-party and sanctions screening on companies and individuals in alignment with global trade regulations and embargoes
• Collaborate with customs brokers to resolve shipment holds, delays, and compliance inquiries
• Collect, review, and verify trade documentation from global suppliers, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and HAWBs
• Maintain accurate trade master data including values, country of origin, and part numbers across ERP systems and internal databases
• Organize and manage digital import/export records to ensure audit readiness at all times

• Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in international trade, supply chain, logistics, or a related field
• Meticulous attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies across complex documentation and large datasets
• Proven track record of maintaining high accuracy and output in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and large workloads efficiently
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English for daily collaboration with U.S.-based teams and global vendors
• Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to independently troubleshoot logistical and compliance challenges

• Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with HTS and/or ECCN classification or a working knowledge of international trade regulations
• Background in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain operations
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and/or Global Trade Management (GTM) tools
