Technology Advantage & Capability Development Analyst

We are seeking a Technology Advantage & Capability Development Analyst to support the development of Technology Advantage (TA) initiatives and the integration of Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT) into future military capabilities.

The role combines emerging technology analysis, defence innovation, capability development, technology assessment, technology adoption, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Security Clearance: Active Secret-level security clearance required

• Key Responsibilities
• Identify, research, assess, and catalogue Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT).
• Acquire, analyze, and interpret Research & Technology (R&T) information from defence, academic, government, industry, and other relevant sources.
• Assess how emerging technologies can address current and future military operational challenges and capability gaps.
• Support the development and refinement of Technology Advantage vision documents, concepts, and action plans.
• Analyze how Technology Advantage can support warfare development and capability-development priorities.
• Support the definition of Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Final Operating Capability (FOC).
• Identify technology adoption pathways and develop practical military use cases and capability applications.
• Support technology experimentation, innovation, and integration with related capability initiatives and projects.
• Support the development of reports, assessments, recommendations, and programme deliverables.
• Help establish and maintain a Technology Advantage community of interest.
• Coordinate with internal and external defence, technology, research, academic, and industry stakeholders.

• Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Computer Science, Information & Communication Technology, Engineering, or a closely related scientific/technical discipline, plus 4 years of relevant post-degree experience.
• Alternatively, 6+ years of extensive and progressive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Minimum 2 years of experience acquiring, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting Research & Technology information.
• Experience assessing Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDT) and their potential military or defence applications.
• Knowledge of Science & Technology (S&T) information sources, including defence research organizations, academic institutions, government organizations, and industry.
• Experience identifying technology adoption pathways and translating emerging technologies into practical capability applications.
• Experience in technology assessment, defence innovation, capability development, technology strategy, or warfare development.
• Strong research, analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
