As a Technical Trainer in Data Centers, you will partner with business units and specific lines of business to identify learning needs. You will provide appropriate solutions by designing, developing, and rolling out a variety of high-level programs.
This position is a part of the Talent, Learning & Development functional area, which focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs.
Locations: Westerville, OH or Indianapolis, IN
- What You’ll Do
- Program Management: Create and administer training programs in three key areas: Learning Resources, Content and Curriculum Development, and Learning Platform Operations.
- Evaluation & Optimization: Create evaluation and measurement tools for platform offerings. Review training metrics and feedback to evaluate learning effectiveness and help drive department goals.
- Instructional Design: Partner with subject matter experts to develop content and update training materials, programs, and curriculums. Suggest and implement delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer.
- Needs Assessment: Identify needs and recommend smart solutions that meet organizational learning demands, facilitating updates when needed.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assure through audits, evaluations, and reports that all new content and learning programs are consistently administered in compliance with governance guidelines.
- Communication: Approve and manage communication and marketing plans for new courses and training updates. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Collaboration: Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team. Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with core company values, occasionally negotiating to reach agreements.
- Industry Standards: Remain up-to-date on learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices, knowing how to successfully implement them. Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- What You’ll Need
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a blended combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Core Knowledge: A broad knowledge of your own job discipline and basic familiarity with several job disciplines within the learning and development function.
- Problem Solving: Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Technical Skills:
- Intermediate skills with Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) and the ADDIE method.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with Adobe, Captivate, and PeopleSoft preferred.
Core Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to calculate metrics such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related data.
