About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AV Support Specialist to join Moody's Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and operational excellence for a wide range of AV and collaboration technologies across Moody's global offices. Your primary focus will be ensuring seamless execution of live events, meetings, and day-to-day collaboration activities, enabling Moody's employees and leadership to communicate effectively and efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and optimize platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools, while also managing the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV hardware and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual Support, Information Technology, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting AV systems, live event production, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms environments, including troubleshooting and administration.
- Hands-on experience with AV hardware such as video conferencing systems (e.g., Neat Bars, Poly), cameras, displays, and audio equipment.
- Familiarity with AV control systems, preferably Crestron, including basic operation and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of professional audio systems, with exposure to platforms like Biamp or similar audio processing solutions.
- Experience supporting live production events, managing audio, video, and camera systems effectively.
- Knowledge of digital audio mixers, Dante audio networking, and video switchers like BlackMagic Studio Cameras and Vmix.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and engage with customers.
Responsibilities
The AV Support Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing Moody's AV and collaboration infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Physical setup, transportation, and dismantling of AV hardware for meetings and events, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, and lighting rigs. This involves lifting and moving heavy equipment, ensuring all systems are operational and ready for use.
- Pre-event testing of all AV equipment to identify and resolve potential technical issues, ensuring optimal performance during live sessions.
- Providing on-site and remote support during meetings, conferences, and large-scale events, including managing audio, video, and camera systems to guarantee seamless execution.
- Supporting VIP and executive meetings by delivering tailored AV solutions and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborating with Operations and Engineering teams to follow established processes, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve technical concerns promptly.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of AV configurations, issues, and resolutions to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Participating in ongoing training and staying current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practices to enhance support capabilities.
