Technical Analyst

Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Technical Analyst (Pseudo-Architect) for a hybrid opportunity in Charlotte, NC (2–3 days onsite). This is a long-term contract role (through end of year with annual extensions).

This role is ideal for a highly technical analyst with strong engineering depth who can bridge the gap between business and development teams. You will act as a technical SME across multiple applications, leading requirements discussions, driving solution design, and contributing to architecture decisions.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• 5–8+ years of experience in a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
• Strong ability to read and understand code (Python and/or Node.js preferred)
• Deep understanding of APIs (REST and GraphQL)
• Experience with system design, architecture, and distributed systems
• Hands-on exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience with streaming/data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, or similar)
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions with both business and engineering stakeholders

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Lead requirements gathering and technical discovery sessions across applications
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and architecture designs
• Drive system design and API design discussions with development teams
• Create solution architecture diagrams, workflows, and technical documentation
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and architects
• Contribute to proof of concepts (POCs) and provide code-level insights when needed
• Serve as a technical SME across a portfolio of applications
• Own and guide the technical requirements lifecycle end-to-end

Technical Environment:

• Node.js and Python-based applications
• REST & GraphQL APIs
• Event-driven architecture
• AWS cloud ecosystem
• Kafka / streaming data pipelines (MSK, Flink preferred)

• Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
