About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst - Wintel OPS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering and architectural expertise in Windows-based infrastructure solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade Windows environments, including servers, applications, and associated technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the high performance, security, and reliability of the Wintel environment while spearheading strategic architecture initiatives aligned with business objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to enterprise infrastructure excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
Education requirements include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates must be US Citizens or possess the right to work in the United States without restrictions. A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Windows system administration, infrastructure engineering, and solution architecture is essential. Proven expertise with Windows Server (2012 and later), core Microsoft infrastructure services, and strong technical skills in Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting are required. Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V, cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and knowledge of backup and recovery solutions are highly valued. Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator are preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include designing and architecting scalable, secure, and highly available Windows-based infrastructure solutions. This involves developing high-level architectures, technical designs, and detailed documentation to support Wintel initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and long-term IT strategies. The role also encompasses deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, IIS, SQL Server, and related components, with an emphasis on standardization and automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
Performance optimization and monitoring are critical aspects, requiring the candidate to oversee system health, resource utilization, and implement tuning strategies using tools like System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SolarWinds. Security and compliance responsibilities include enforcing best practices, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational policies. Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conducting periodic testing, and ensuring minimal downtime form an integral part of the role.
Providing expert-level troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex challenges, and driving system reliability enhancements are key duties. Additionally, maintaining comprehensive documentation, promoting knowledge sharing through training and mentorship, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies are vital to this role.
