2. About the Opportunity:

The Tax Analyst role supports the organization’s tax compliance, reporting, analysis, and research functions. Reporting to the Tax Director, this position contributes to accurate tax filings and compliance across federal, state, local, and international levels. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to ensure adherence to tax regulations and improve related processes.

3. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation and support of various tax filings including Forms 990, 990-T, 4720, 1120, 5471, and indirect tax filings (VAT/GST/sales tax).
  • Collect, organize, and validate financial and operational data for tax compliance.
  • Maintain workpapers and documentation for tax reporting activities.
  • Process tax payments, refund requests, and manage filing logistics.
  • Research routine tax issues and summarize findings with documentation.
  • Respond to tax notices and inquiries from authorities.
  • Support indirect tax registrations and reporting.
  • Provide research support to Accounting, AR, AP, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with presentations, meeting summaries, agendas, and action items.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Support audits, financial disclosures, and special projects as assigned.

4. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience with federal, state, local, and/or international tax.
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax reporting and taxation principles.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems and tax software preferred.
  • Tax research experience with Internal Revenue Code, regulations, rulings, and case law preferred.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The New York metro salary range for this position is estimated to be between $78,000 and $82,000 per year.
